In a shocking development reported from Pune, a woman, who was allegedly driving without the driver’s license, mowed over a 19-year-old delivery boy. During investigation, it was revealed that she put her foot on clutch instead of the brake pedal.

The victim, identified as 19-year-old Ajay Dhokane, was hastened to a nearby hospital after the accident. However, he was declared dead. While the 40-year-old accused woman fled from the scene, she was later issued a notice to appear for investigation.

The accused woman, identified as Suchismita Bandyopadhyay, was driving an red Wagon R, when instead of hitting brakes, she put her foot on the clutch, and mowed over the victim Ajay who was on his motorcycle. The horrific accident occurred earlier on Thursday this week near the Hiranandani Foundation School.

The victim, was reportedly the only bread-winner for his family of four. He worked at a grocery shop and was out delivering groceries when he was run over. Protocol was followed, and the victim’s body was handed over to his family.

Meanwhile, after the CCTV footage showed the victim’s identity, the police sent her a notice to appear before seven days. The accused woman had reportedly come to drop her child at a private school.

For most regular drivers, the act of driving gets so mechanical, that slowly but surely their reflexes start taking over while driving. However, what happens when one single mistake of putting one’s foot on the wrong pedal in the car destroys the life of a bread-winner, and adversely affects the lives of his immediate family members.
