Birahim Bilugeo Gildersleve Death and Obituary, Rochester Man Identified as Victim in Minneapolis Fatal Shooting

A Rochester man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting Sunday September 18, 2022, morning near Loring Park in Minneapolis.

Birahim Bilugeo Gildersleve, 28, from Rochester, was identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office as the victim.

Minneapolis police were called to a reported shooting along the 1600 block of Harmon Place at around 5:20 a.m. Sunday. There, officers found Gildersleve suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital but died a short time later.

Police said early information indicates an argument escalated to gunfire outside an “unlicensed after-hours party.”

No arrests have been announced in the case, which remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
