Carlos Rashard Carter; 20-year-old Silver Spring Man With Severe Trauma To The Body Monday Morning, Later Died

A Silver Spring man found suffering trauma to his body early Monday morning, later died from his injuries, according to investigators.

Montgomery County homicide detectives are investigating the death of 20-year-old Carlos Rashard Carter of Silver Spring on Monday, according to a police release.

Officers responded around 3:22 a.m. to the 11800 block of Old Columbia Pike to a call for assistance from Montgomery County Fire Rescue Services, according to the release.

Arriving on the scene, the officers found Carter, who was suffering from trauma to his body, and began administering life-saving measures. Carter was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead

Carter was then transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of his death, according to police.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-455-TIPS (8477). Anyone who supplies information that leads to an arrest in this case is eligible for a reward of up to $10,000. Callers do not need to identify themselves
