Cody Perry; Man Dead After Shooting At Home In Rochester, Massachusetts; Suspect Identified

A man is facing a homicide charge in connection with a deadly shooting that happened at a home in southeastern Massachusetts.

Rochester police Chief Robert Small said officers were called to 259 New Bedford Road shortly before 9:35 p.m. Friday.

Responding officers found a 41-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim, who has not been identified by Small, was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he was pronounced dead.

The police chief said the shooting was the result of an argument between two men, and that the suspected shooter was still at the scene and taken into custody by officers.

Small identified the suspect as 34-year-old Cody Perry, who has been charged with homicide.

The police chief said further details about the shooting are still being investigated.
