Damien Brave Obituary, Teenager Killed In Lincoln Shooting Identified

Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly shooting Friday night in Lincoln.

Around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots near N 27th and Fair streets, according to Lincoln police.

Upon arrival, authorities said they contacted numerous individuals fleeing a house party.

A short time later, Lincoln police said they received a report of a man, identified as 18-year-old Damien Brave, arriving at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.

Brave, who was struck multiple times, died at the hospital, Lincoln police said. He attended Lincoln High School and Lincoln Southeast High School, law enforcement said.

Authorities said there were “dozens of high-school-aged individuals” who may have witnessed the incident.

Lincoln police said the suspect is a Black male, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 and around 200 pounds, age 16-20.
