David A. Arnold Death and Obituary, American Stand-up Comedian is Dead, Cause of Death

David A. Arnold has been the best-kept secret in comedy to date. A 20-year talk show veteran who makes a living acting, acting and writing for TV and film. David has worked on everything from Comedy Central to BET. He currently airs two Netflix specials produced by Kevin Hart and is currently on tour.

He is a talented writer who has produced a number of TV shows, from Netflix’s “Fuller House” to BET+’s “Bigger.” David recently added a showrunner and creator to his accomplishments, creating a Will Packer-produced show for the internet sensation Girls Lay Down on Nickelodeon.

Whether you know David A. Arnold on the club tour, from his work as a writer at the Fuller House, or just hearing about him for the first time, his new moment It Ain’t For the Weak is the second best Netflix special.

Arnold’s animated physical comedy enhances his sense of humor. When he got to the stage, he immediately moved the microphone stage back so he could hop around an imaginary playground or eat light potatoes in a Bakersfield prison. Whether it’s subtle movements or his impressions, he can really set the scene. Arnold makes the most of his voice—literally and figuratively—to turn us from whispers to rants and focus on his own personal experience. He’s an outspoken club comedian who has clearly honed his craft.

You might call Arnold a grumpy guy. Most of the openings of “It’s Not for the Weak” have a “back to my time” slant. Rather than simply explaining how he has gotten better in the past, however, Arnold examines the lessons he has learned from his various father figures (grandfather, stepfather, and father) and what he himself wants to do with his father’s Identity is passed on.
