Dr. Audrey Evans passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 29. Dr. Evans was a world-renowned pediatric oncologist who cared deeply about her patients and touched the lives of thousands of families she cared for.

She was the inaugural Chief of the Division of Oncology, the founder of the Cancer Center at CHOP, and a trailblazing physician-scientist known for improving treatment options and survival rates for children with neuroblastoma.

Dr. Evans was also the co-founder of the Ronald McDonald House, which has supported so many patient families who travel to our hospital for care. Her legacy and influence will forever be remembered at CHOP.
