Eitan Force Death and Obituary, Webb School Senior Student Eitan Force dies during Flag Game
A high school student in Sandy Springs, Georgia, died Wednesday from a medical emergency during a flag football game.
The student was identified as Eitan Force, a senior at Webb School.
According to CBS46News, the school issued a statement regarding the tragic incident.
Dear Webb students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the community:
A senior class member, Eitan Force, suffered a serious medical emergency during a Webb flag football game on the field this afternoon. Our trainer and staff arrived immediately to help him before emergency medical personnel arrived. Eitan was taken to a local hospital for further treatment. Sadly, tonight we received news of Eitan’s passing.
Out of respect for their privacy, Eitan’s parents have requested that we refrain from contacting family members at this time.
At the same time, many Webb students and parents are aware of this painful loss and embrace it. We are currently taking appropriate steps to provide the comfort of our students, staff and parents.
Webb is canceling classes on Thursday, September 21, 2022. However, in response to the needs of our students, staff and parents, school psychologist Ms. Jordan Crawford is working with Jewish and Education Authority Crisis Counseling Resources to provide morning counseling services in schools. We’ll send you an update later tonight or tomorrow morning with specific details once we’ve confirmed these resources and an accurate plan and schedule.
Formal gatherings of seniors are shared directly with our seniors and their families.
We are so grateful for the love and support many of you have shown after hearing this tragic news. Drawing on the ethics and practices of Jewish heritage and the longstanding traditions of the Webb School community, we trust that all students, parents, faculty and staff will work together to support Eitan’s parents and families in the ways they need, and hope.
For now, condolences go out to the Force family and all of Eitan’s close friends and classmates.
