James Dean Obituary, 55-year-old Man Killed In Tornado Outbreak Identified By Pontotoc County Coroner

The Pontotoc County coroner has identified the person who died during the March 31-April 1 tornado outbreak.

Coroner Kim Bedford identified the victim as James Dean, 55.

The death happened in the College Hill community. The coroner said the storm tore through Dean’s mobile home.

So far, Mississippi has only reported one storm-related death from the March 31-April 1 outbreak.

The state reported 21 deaths from the March 24 outbreak, including two deaths in Monroe County.
