Jaylen Duncan,… Obituary, 2 Men Killed In Separate Harlem Shootings Over The Weekend

Two men were shot in the head and killed in separate shootings in Harlem this weekend, police said.

A pair of separate fatal shootings took place a 15-minute walk from one another in Harlem this weekend, police said.

In both instances, the men were shot in the head and killed, police said.

NYPD officers found a 19-year-old man shot in the head about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday outside of Madison Avenue and East 132nd Street, police said. He was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

NYPD later identified him as Harlem resident Jaylen Duncan.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.

A little over 24-hours later, about 8 p.m. on Sunday, NYPD officers found another man shot in the head inside of a building near Lenox Avenue and West 125th Street, police said.

The 36-year-old man was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

His identification is pending proper family notification.

Subsequent investigation found that a suspect got in an unknown argument with the 36-year-old man while inside of the building near Lenox Avenue and West 125th Street, police said.

As the man began walking toward the exit, the attacker took out a gun and shot him in the head, police said. He then walked over to the man on the ground and shot him a second time in the head, police said.

There have been no arrests, police said.

Anyone with information in regard to either shooting is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782)
