Jossy Israel Laguna-matamoros Obituary, Hackensack Man Identified As Victim Of Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella released the identity of the victim of a fatal pedestrian accident on Route 46 in Ridgefield Park, N.J., on Friday, April 7, 2023.

A pedestrian, identified as 21-year-old Jossy Israel Laguna-Matamoros of Hackensack, was struck by a car on Route 46 in Ridgefield Park, N.J., on Friday, April 7, 2023, at approximately 11:10 p.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the incident. The first vehicle that hit the victim went eastbound on Route 46, while the second vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Ridgefield Park Police Department are conducting an investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the circumstances can call the BCPO tip line at 201-226-5532.
