The victim in Sunday’s fatal stabbing at Coney Island has been identified.

Police say 23-year-old Kristian Vargas died in a hospital after he was found with stab wounds at the intersection of West 23rd Street and Mermaid Avenue.

The assault occurred a few blocks away on 136th Street, according to authorities. Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
