Michael Frost Death and Obituary, Victim Identified in Mound Valley House Fire

The Labette County Sheriff’s Office says the fire happened on Saturday, September 3, 2022, around 11:44 pm. Deputies responded to a 911 call about a structure fire at 110 E. 6th Street in Mound Valley. Mount Valley Rural Fire and the Altamont Rural Fire Departments also responded.

Authorities released the information today and identified the victim of the house fire in southeast Kansas. When deputies got there, fire crews were working to put it out.

The Sheriff’s Office says after the fire was extinguished, firefighters found a body in the southwest bedroom of the home. They identified the victim as 55-year-old Michael Frost. Authorities have scheduled an autopsy.
