Micsha Durham Obituary, Jacksonville Woman Murdered In Shipyard Boulevard
The Wilmington Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they investigate the murder of a Jacksonville woman.
Just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Wilmington police were dispatched to the 100 block of Shipyard Boulevard in reference to a deceased body, according to a Wednesday afternoon news release by the department.
Upon arriving, officers located one female victim, who, after an extensive investigation and follow-up, was later identified as 32-year-old Micsha Durham. The release said her last known address was in Jacksonville.
The investigation is ongoing and the WPD Criminal Investigation Division is asking for public assistance in this case. The release said anyone who has had contact with Durham or seen her in Wilmington or surrounding areas is asked to contact the WPD Sting Center at 910-765-7822.

“Our condolences and prayers go out to the victim’s friends and family,” the release concluded. “This is a tragedy, and our department is working diligently to seek justice.”
