More gameplay trailers have also appeared for Penny Blood and Armed Fantasia. The development team and creatives behind Shadow Hearts and Armed Fantasia are developing both games and crowdfunding them on Kickstarter.
Penny Blood is a gothic horror JRPG that uses many elements familiar to Shadow Hearts players, while Armed Fantasia is a western punk-style game. The campaign reached its initial funding goal of $721,520 within a day of launch. At the time of writing, current revenue is $968,939 and the campaign is still running for 30 days.
The Penny Blood trailer shows Matthew walking around New York in the 1920s. You can also check out how the fighting is done in this game. Like Heart of Shadows, there will be a Judgment Ring system that requires you to complete a skill check before taking action. There’s also a fusion ability, though it’s unclear how you’ll get them and what they do in lore.
Armed Fantasia doesn’t have its own trailer. Instead, it was part of a double Kickstarter announcement. The trailer begins with Akifumi Kaneko hanging out, spinning the wheel to see what to do. After the skit, an Armed Fantasia trailer will play. While there’s a trailer for Penny Blood behind, it’s exactly the same as the one above.
Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood are in development, and those interested can support these projects through Kickstarter. At the time of writing, it has surpassed its target by reaching over $1,250,000.
