Robert J. Art Obituary, 1 Dead In Tragic Crash Near Ravenna

A man died Friday afternoon in a crash in Ravenna Township.

Muskegon County sheriff’s deputies say the single-car crash was reported around 3:20 p.m. Friday, April 14, on Heights Ravenna Road about two miles west of Ravenna.

Deputies say the driver, identified as Robert J. Art, was headed west on Heights Ravenna Road near Wunsch Road when his Chevrolet SUV left the roadway and went into a farm field.

Deputies believe Art was suffering from a medical emergency at the time of the crash.

Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but Art was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Ravenna Fire Department, Trinity Health EMS and Michigan State Police.
