A man in his 20s was killed in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 93 in Wilmington late Friday, authorities said. Rodrigo Rosa, a 24-year-old man from Wilmington, was fatally injured when the crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. on I-93 northbound near Exit 31. Massachusetts State Police said no other vehicles were involved.

The exact cause and circumstances of the crash are still being investigated by state police, according to law enforcement. Authorities said the leftmost and rightmost lanes on the north side of the highway were closed for about two hours to make way for the accident investigation.

Family and friends are raising money for a memorial service via GoFundMe after a 24-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 93 in Wilmington late Friday.

Rodrigo Rosa, a 24-year-old man from Wilmington, was driving northbound I-93 near Exit 31 when he was fatally injured at about 9:30 p.m. Massachusetts State Police said no other vehicles were involved.

“My heart is broken into a million little pieces and I can’t breathe,” wrote Rosa’s friend Genevieve Casucci. “I’ve been lucky enough to spend six years and a few months with you, but that’s not enough. I always thought I was lucky enough to meet my soulmate at such a young age, but I never thought it would happen situation.”

Kasucci said the two love Halloween and plan to dress up as Cosmo and Wanda.

“I never doubted that I could give my heart to him, but I think life would be great if we could grow old together,” she wrote.

Over $28,000 was raised in about a day. GoFundMe is targeting $30,000.

“Money can’t replace a good man, but I hope it helps ease the pain of losing a great man,” one wrote. “Rodrigo, you will be missed, man. I hope you get you in heaven. desired boat.”
