Timothy Renae and Nizer Marquise; Suspects Responsible for Fort Bragg Soldier Homicide Identified and Arrested

The homicide investigation of Nicholas Antonio Bobo led Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit to Durham, NC, where they recovered the victim’s vehicle.

Detectives of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified the suspects responsible for the homicide of Nicholas Bobo as, Timothy Renae NAVA and Nizer Marquise BENNETT.

Due to the collaborative efforts of the Fayetteville Police Department, Durham Police Department and the U.S. Marshals the suspects have been taken into custody.

On September 19, 2022 members of the Durham Police Department arrested Timothy Renae NAVA, charged with First Degree Murder, Felony Conspiracy, Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. He is currently being held at Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.

On September 21, 2022 the U.S. Marshalls along with members of the Durham Police Department arrested Nizer Marquise BENNETT, charged with First Degree Murder, Felony Conspiracy, Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling.

He is currently being held at Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.
