Treshawn Lamar Hatcher; 3rd Suspect Charged In Muskegon Shooting That Killed 6-month-old Baby
Prosecutors charged a third man for his alleged role in a Muskegon shooting where a 6-month-old child was unintentionally killed by gunfire.
Treshawn Lamar Hatcher faces one count of tampering with evidence stemming from a shooting last week. He was arraigned Wednesday, April 12, in Muskegon County District Court.
Hatcher, 22, was denied bond, Muskegon County Jail records show. He was on probation when the shooting happened.
Hatcher is the third suspect charged this week for an April 7 shooting where a stray bullet struck 6-month-old A’Dourr Malone inside of a home. She later died.
The alleged shooter, Julio Deadrick Casiano, 21, is charged with open murder and lying to police in a violent crime investigation.
Casiano is accused of indiscriminately opening fire on a group of residents outside of a Muskegon home, Muskegon County prosecutors previously said.
The girl was inside when she was struck.
The case began during the daytime April 7 when Muskegon responded to a shooting on East Isabella Avenue near Ransom Street. Officers were told a pickup parked at the residence was involved in the shooting.
Police later found the truck and took several occupants – who were not injured – into custody. Investigators determined those in the truck were likely the targets of the shooting earlier.
Police developed leads and began conducting surveillance on a residence in the 2000 block of Eighth Street in Muskegon Heights. That night, someone fired shots at a vehicle with detectives. The detectives were not injured but the vehicle was struck.
Police arrested Casiano, Treshawn Hatcher, and Tollie Hatcher at the scene.
For his alleged role, Tollie Hatcher, 25, is charged with two counts of attempted murder for shooting at police in Muskegon Heights.
All three suspects remain lodged in the Muskegon County Jail with court appearances for Casiano and Tollie Hatcher set for later this month.
No upcoming court hearings were scheduled for Tershawn Hatcher as of Thursday morning, April 13.
